Item Description : Original World War 2 German Tellermine dummy used by the US Army for training soldiers on German mines. As can be seen on the back there are the letters DUM... For dummy in yellow paint. Since this was a dummy, there is no internal mechanisms and no chance of it working. Very much so a dummy mine.
