This is a standard pre-war German army marching compass manufactured by Busch. This type of compass was issued to the Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS.
The compass shows signs of wear and has a combat-ready appearance. Everything that should move, turn, open, and close is stamped on the lid. The lid bears the mark of Busch, D. Serial number 27125, year of manufacture: 1934. This is likely the most expensive model of German compasses issued to Nazi soldiers-a massive, richly decorated brass case, dating back to a time when non-ferrous metals were still abundant in the Reich. It would make a wonderful addition to any military antiques collection as an authentic piece of equipment for military reenactments.
