Up for sale is this genuine 1940s vintage German Army Service mechanical wristwatch. It's in excellent cosmetic and running condition. German military watches were made by several Swiss and German manufacturers to standardized specifications. This example shows typical wear and tear overall from some 80 years of use. Excellent hands and black dial present well on the wrist. Medium sized 34 mm diameter nickel plated upper case. The stainless steel caseback screws on securely. I love the legible arabic hour markers and lume filled hands. Even on the subsidiary seconds hand. I believe the crown is an older replacement but is well proportioned to the watch. The clean acrylic crystal is a new replacement. Schild caliber 1130 movement is running strong and keeping time thanks to a recent full service. It's fitted with a newer 18 mm gray military strap with white hardware. This classic military watch is ready for duty. Let me know if you have any questions.
