This EXACT watch is featured in Dr. Konrad Knirim's, "Military Timepieces" book. Made with a Nickel case, this Commemorative Pocket Watch is in EXCELLENT functioning condition and featured on page 99 of Konrad Knirim's, "Military Timepieces" book.. Though the crystal shows some light scratches, the dial and hands are in VERY NICE condition, with NO major damage or corrosion! Note that because I use a camera flash, the scratches show up more pronounced than they actually are in person.
Back features the dates 1914/1915, which commemorates the campaign against France, Russia, and England after Prince Franz Ferdinand was shot (and sparked the First World War). Eing in used condition, the case does show some signs of wear (scratches, marks, patina), but it is in otherwise VERY NICE condition for its age. Though it is 100% functional, t.He movement has not been serviced in 30 years, so I would suggest getting it cleaned for daily use. A VERY RARE piece of history, it would make for a VERY NICE addition to any collection, or display!
