Before leaving Europe to go home to New York, this staff, Sargent, declared this camera to his superiors 9-4-1945. This is where this document was generated.
His superior declared this German Camera to him as a BONA FIDE GIFT To the army man in possession. The serial number was documented, and the document matches the camera serial number. On the back of this document is what I believe to be 2 of his war buddies that really put this item over the top!! I have not used any tape framing this document. It's between to pieces of glass.
The camera is all German. The camera is in almost perfect condition. The case is all leather w/brass hardware in excellent condition. Now, where did this U. ARMY SOLDIER GET THE CAMERA??
WELL, IT CAME OFF A DEAD GERMAN SOLDIER I WOULD THINK? THE FACTS ARE US ARMY MAN LEAVING GERMANY TO GO HOME TO UNITED STATES HAD THIS GERMAN CAMERA WIT GERMAN WRITINGS.
He didn't have it when he went to Europe to fight the war! I did some research, and this particular company was involved in D day Omaha. The Sargent of this unit is from NY State! It's a great piece of military ww2 history and would be a great addition to any collection. Camera collectors, ww2 collectors, and collectors of all things. This is a great piece! I will back this item with a 14-day free return! GREAT GIFT IDEA THERE IS ONLY ONE OF THESE. Don't miss your chance!
