WW2 German M43 Tunic - Italian Camo. Following the capitulation and disarmament of most of the Italian armed forces in 1943, stocks of Italian material were used by Germany to meet the increased demand for equipment in the face of the slowly deteriorating wartime economy. The M43 Tunic itself was first seen in mid-1943, and by the following year they were the most commonly worn uniform by German troops. Their introduction was largely due to the need to simplify their uniform design, as time and material became expensive resources. This is seen through certain details, such as pleats and scalloped flaps no longer being added to the pockets, in favour of the more practical straight cut edges.

These wonderfully recreated German M43 Tunics in Italian Camouflage are reproduced to the original specs. They come with 4 straight cut, flap and button seal frontal pockets (2 x breast and 2 x hip) as well as an internal suspension system to help support field gear. The tunic itself is closed via 5 buttons and a hook and eyelet system around the neck.

Each cuff is button adjustable to secure a nice fit. Internally, there is a small pocket lower down on the right hand side which would house a first aid kit or wound dressings. These WW2 German M43 Italian Camo Tunics would make a superb addition to any reenactors kit.
