WW2 German Normandy Camoflague Camo M40 Combat Helmet

  

An excellent example of a World War issue, German Army M40 combat helmet. Applied with'Normandy' pattern camoflage on the exterior. Inside with liner band, maker marked and sized, which looks to be 58. Missing the leather section of the liner. Complete with leather chin strap and turn buckles.

Painted name of wartime owner; Unteroffizier Becker, blue light compliant markings. Shell maker details barely visible above the written owner name.

Exterior shell is spattered with specks of white paint and what looks like varnish. Probable previous garage or workshop storage environment. One liner band retaining pin missing.
