Stained with the blood of a thousand Jews.. Very Eery, deeply patina'd. Fits case very smooth and almost snaps into a locked position when it is fully sheathed. Blade is full but pointed with a sizeable channel going the length of the blade. Looks to be a full tang with some time of dark wood for a handle.
Heavier than today's steel, very fascinating item and helped inspire my interest in other countries part in WW2. It is to my understanding that during this time Spain manufactured and sent some lower grade of the same bayonets to Germany towards the end of war to the best of my knowledge and from my research this is not one of those. It seems to be of German make, I do not see any of the stamps associated with a the Spanish ones.
