Up for sale is a truly remarkable, untouched piece of WWII history-an original German military medical box (Verbandkasten). This is another genuine attic find discovered in an old house here in Courland (Latvia), directly linked to the historic battlegrounds of the Courland Pocket where Army Group North surrendered in May 1945. What makes this particular box exceptionally interesting is its authentic wartime reissue appearance. It is covered in the iconic German red-oxide primer/brown paint, used by field workshops and factories late in the war. It features bold, hand-stenciled tactical numbers "558" on the front and "79" on the lid, giving it incredible combat character.
Opening the box reveals an absolute time capsule. The original protective wooden inner lining is beautifully preserved and clean.
Best of all, it still retains its original aluminum central divider-a rare piece of hardware that is usually missing. The factory paper contents label (Inhaltsverzeichnis) under the lid is in fantastic condition, remaining clear and completely legible. Mechanically, all hinges, heavy-duty latches, and the side handle work perfectly. This is an honest, uncleaned combat relic with undeniable Baltic provenance, perfect for a high-end Wehrmacht collection. 100% founded with metal detector. Please check the picture carefully.
