An interesting group of about 70 items, comprising WWI envelopes with original letters (7) and postcards or lettercards (4), all dated between 1914-18. All seem to have been sent home by Leutn. Wilken from different locations including three envelopes and letters and a lettercard sent whilst serving at the Warthelager marked Res. One of the letters includes an original 126x95mm. B&w photograph of a well appointed bedroom with animal skin floor rugs/nice double bed/furniture etc.
Addressed to Putbus and Braunschweig. Mostly marked Feldpost and with several violet handstamps applied including Heeres Flak Art Erl. All seem to be addressed to Uffz. Wilken, and he seems to have been in Denmark in the middle of 1941 - a May 9. Letter includes a few receipts from Esbjerg, as well as a 4pp printed leaflet in Danish for the new asparagus crop with recipes included.There are also a few other loose letters. All letters and cards in German and their contents are unknown.
