The tops of each shoulder board are braided silver bullion wire mounted onto a dark maroon wool base. Both have a thin wool tongue sewn on the bottom. These are the slip-on variety.
Normally, we use First Class padded mailers. Items of antiquity are considered damaged goods, by such affects and thereby diminishes the value significantly. We will ask you, upon a return request, if the item was cleaned/repaired/modified.. If you do not see something, in the pictures, it will not be sent to you.
Do not assume an accessory will be included just because you think it should be. Some items don't come with clasps, fasteners or screw-post-nuts, unless pictured and/or stated in the ad. Some screw-post-nuts/fasteners/pins, due to their age, may not fully function. UV lights; are just one tool and do not confirm post WWII production. Any man made /artificial threads, cloth will glow under UV, pointing to post 1945 manufacture, however badged uniforms / cloth items that have been washed over the years with modern detergents might also display a'glow', you need to acquaint yourself and judge the piece as a whole.
