WW II German Army EM/NCO Pelzmützen WINTER WEATHER FUR CAP SUPERB

  
First issued in the fall, the Winter Fur Caps (Pelzmutzen) were a standard issue item, and were distributed to all EM/NCO's for the winter season. Although there was no official standard model of the fur cap, the most commonly encountered type followed the basic pattern of the Mountain and M43 caps with fold down back and side panels designed to protect the wearers ears and neck. Made of rabbit fur and dark grey wool, this German Army Winter Fur Hat is in AMAZING unused condition!

Features back and side panels that secure around the wearer's neck and chin. This was so that the wearer was fully protected from the harsh air and wind. Inside features a Rayon liner with the original manufacture stamp. Size is hard determine, as the stamp had faded over time. One of the tie strings is much shorter than the other, but it does not affect the function.

In NEAR PERFECT condition, it would make an EXCELLENT addition to any collection or display!
