WW2 German Army Officer's Jack Boots. Black Leather. Large Size. Good Condition

  
For sale here is a great looking pair of WW2 German Army Officer's Jack Boots. These are not EM NCO Hobnail boots, as they appear to be much taller, and have a standard leather sole with no hobnails. These boots are made of black leather(though they do have some brown showing through). The leather is slightly stiff, but isn't brittle, and these hold their shape with no stiffener needed. They do show some surface cracking in places, but nothing major. These do show quite a bit of wear, but they are strong and solid with all stitching being good. The boots have standard leather frontal soles and stacked leather heels which have chunky rubber caps marked 167 Vorwerk. The left boot retains its steel toe tap, but right tap is missing. These could use a little bit of shaping, but they do stand on their own. I cannot find any size or maker markings. These boots measure approximately 12 1/4" front to back and are 4 1/2" wide at the widest point of the toe box. I would guess that these are probably a European size 44 or US size 11. These are pretty stiff, but i would imagine that with some conditioning, these could be made serviceable. The insides look pretty dirty, and the inner banding on the rear seam looks a little loose in places. All four of the pull straps are present and are made of black canvas. These boots are approximately 18 1/2 tall at the front tallest part of the boot. This is a great pair of boots for display. They will clean up well, and look great!
