WWII 8th Army German Air drop Leaflets Propaganda Po Valley Cassino 78th Div

  

On offer is a small archive of ephemera from 8th Army in Italy 1944. It includes German airdrop leaflets, a telegram (requesting ammunition), order of service for Thanksgiving parades, and various programmes for theatrical events put on by soldiers. The telegram is quite interesting.

It is for Captain Plumley at HQ and is written on an army form C2128 sheet of paper number. It hard to decipher that reads'From, 78 Division.

The Po Valley is Waiting for you'. Folded, on the inside is picture of destruction. The other reads'Diary of Death'. On the back is an image of a bloodied diary. And don't forget, he was a soldier, just like you'.
