Unial Vintage Silverware for five. There are stains, but should go away.

Need to be cleaned and polished. The box doesn't match the silverware, but it is how I discovered this set. It is a a German WWII product.

As a matter of fact, the knives have a very small engraving in German of''ROSTFREI, rust free in English. This is a very rare set, because it is complete. Brief History of RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst). The Reichsarbeitsdienst, commonly abbreviated as RAD, translates to Reich Labour Service. It was established as a major state organization in Nazi Germany. Initially formed to combat unemployment during the early days of the Nazi regime, the RAD later became instrumental in the militarization of the German workforce, supporting large-scale infrastructure projects and assisting the Wehrmacht (German Armed Forces). All eligible German men and women were required to serve a period in the RAD, which acted as a precursor to military service. The RAD was organized along paramilitary lines and its members wore uniforms. Items such as this spoon, adorned with the RAD insignia, would have been part of the daily life for those serving in the organization, serving as both a functional item and a symbol of their affiliation.
