Rare US Army Post WWII Assmann made Lt Colonel and Bird Colonel rank insignia

  
This is a two item listing for US Army rank insignia made by Assmann. This Lieutenant Colonel silver oak leaf is marked A 106 and the Full Bird Colonel Eagle is marked A 107 which are the German Company's hallmark for FW Assmann and Sohne. Assmann made badges and insignia for the occupation forces after the cessation of hostilities of World War II.

The letter A with an extended cross bar signifies that it was made by Assmann. The number is a item identification number. They used many numbers as they made numerous badges for troops stationed in Germany after the war.
