Motorcyclists and Dispatch riders were outfitted with special protective clothing that included gauntlets and a protective coat. Both items were actually quite popular with numerous personnel, and were commonly worn by non-motorcyclists, due to their serviceability. Due to the extreme heat in Africa, in 1940, the original rubber-coated jacket was re-designed, using a non-rubberized cotton twill. Made of a lightweight khaki/olive green cotton twill, this motorcycle jacket is in GOOD used condition! Some marks and wear, due to the age but nothing that detracts. Some buttons are missing (easy to replace). Manufacture marking are also stamped on the inside... Not sure of the exact size, but this would fit anyone with a medium build. A VERY RARE item for any collection or display! Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft Fw190, Me262, etc. , as well as USAF and Japanese items.
