US ARMY SOLDIERS CAN BE SEEN AT THE ENTRANCE, ROOF AND ON THE BALCONY WHERE A FEW TOOK THE OPPORTUNITY TO HANG A LARGE SIGN WITH THE BARRACKS NAME: SS CASERNE. SS (Caserne) Barracks were built on the western outskirts of the Nuremberg " Party Rally Grounds " between 1936 and 1939.
They were among the largest barracks built by the National Socialists, and were intended for SS units. DIMENSIONS: 4 1/2" x 2 3/4". VERY GOOD FOCUS AND CONTRAST. PHOTOGRAPHERS PERIOD ID'd ON THE REVERSE. CONDITION IS EXTREMELY FINE WITH PERIOD ALBUM RESIDUE ON THE REVERSE.
