From:Officers And Ladies G-3 Vii Corps Stuttgart, Germany 1957. Kunzig, a career Army officer who was a key planner for the D-Day invasion of Normandy in World War II and whose last posting was at the Presidio, died May 1, 2008 at his San Francisco home.
He was buried in the cemetery of the U. Military Academy at West Point.
In 2007, the general was the only member of his class of 1932 to go back to the military school for the 75th class reunion. Kunzig was born in the Philippines, the son of Army Brig. Kunzig, and was raised on Army posts all over the world. Paperwork was inside as pictured when the box came to me. I have had for some time now and time to pass it along for others to enjoy, I never cleaned the silver, this is up to new owner to do so if they desire.
