This has an uncommon color sequence for the portapee. Some of the silk cording is missing from the small wooden ball on the portapee and the leather frog, which appears to have been painted long ago, has age cracking here and there but in okay condition. The two rivets that hold the Frog to the hanger have pulled through as pictured.
The bayonet is in used condition but does not appear to have ever been sharpened. Replating on the blade is in nice condition.
The plating on the bird head guard and pommel is intact but not as shiny. Pack and Sohne Solingen, with the engraved woman and hammer. It still has the leather bushing on the guard as well as the green felt insert in the attachments slot. Overall this display is nicely and is an authentic that bring back bayonet from World War II Germany!
